Texas Food Handlers Card

We are a Approved food handler online course in the state of Texas. Some examples include ensuring employees regularly wash their hands in a sink equipped with soap, hot water and paper towels; utensils and surfaces that contact raw meat are not used to prepare ready-to-eat foods; and that rodents and other pests are not present.
Texas requires that a person-in-charge (PIC), owner, or employee of a food service establishment - (i.e., bars, restaurants, mobile vendors, food trucks, caterers, assisted-living, and day care centers) be a Certified Food Manager (CFM) as outlined in the Texas Food Code by successfully passing an ANSI-accredited and Texas Department of State Health Service approved - food safety certification exam.

The purpose and goal of the Learn2Serve Food Handler Training Certificate is to provide individuals working in restaurants and non-restaurant food handlers card facilities with an overview of food safety issues, regulations, and techniques to maintain a food-safe environment.
As per Title 25, Part 1, Chapter 229, Subchapter K, Rule §229.178 (d)(2) of the Texas Administrative Code, the TABC and Texas food handler certificate is valid statewide as proof of course completion, provided that it was awarded by a department-approved e-learning provider.

You can print your permanent TABC proof of certification that will contain the issue date, expiration date, certificate number, status, name and date of birth for an individual from our website at: Certificate Inquiry submits your training results to the TABC within 14-days of your completing and passing our TABC course.
If you work in San Diego, Riverside or San Bernardino, AND also work in a restaurant outside these three counties, you are required to obtain a local food handler card for these three counties, as well as a California Food Handler Card to work for the restaurant located outside of San Diego, Riverside or San Bernardino.

We also offer the City of Plano, Texas Food Handler course for $30.00. This course also includes the $20.00 registration fee for the city of Plano, Texas. The course fees do not cover the any fees associated with your local health department. All employees in Texas who serve handle or store food must have a valid Texas Food Handlers Card to work in Texas. The Health Division staff instructs the regularly scheduled food handlers classes and issue certificates to attendees.
